We love supporting local whenever we can!

Each year, beginning in 2021, we collaborate with a talented freelance illustrator, Ari Palmer, to create our annual fall-launch design - she also created the logo you're all familiar with! Ari has creative freedom with each fall's artwork - and we're always thrilled with her vision. She's a family friend from our hometown who now lives in the beautiful Adirondack region of New York, and creativity truly runs in her family. We also partner with her brother and sister-in-law’s business for our merch fulfillment:

Our merchandise orders are fulfilled by Palmer’s Custom Apparel, a company run by husband-and-wife duo Ty and Kaitlyn Palmer, located about an hour and a half east of us. They give us the same convenient feel as one of those massive, faceless fulfillment corporations - since we don't need to keep inventory on hand or package orders ourselves - but instead, we're proudly supporting another small, family-owned business. Palmer's Custom Apparel handles everything from maintaining our official merch website to printing our designs onto apparel and shipping orders directly to you.

The coolest part? We collaborate closely on merch ideas (hello, late-night texting group chats after all of our kids are finally in bed), and if you email them with a question about your order, you'll be talking directly with Ty or Kaitlyn themselves - something you definitely won't find just anywhere.

And those stunning professional photos you occasionally see featured on specialty items, prints, and our annual calendars? They're captured by the talented and kind Brandy Jarmacz, a traveling photographer based in Camillus, NY who specializes in pet and event photography. She's now a trusted friend of ours after several visits to the rescue... and after several pieces of her equipment have been “marked” by curious foxes who clearly approved of her work.
